Pair Will Provide Authorized Service and Repair Facilities to Washington D.C. Area Photographers
MELVILLE, N.Y., May 17 — In an effort to better service its Washington, D.C.-area photographers, Nikon(R) USA (http://www.nikonusa.com) today announced a partnership with Nikon-Authorized Repair Station, Strauss Photo Technical Services (SPTS), to provide technical service and repair facilities within the Washington, D.C.-area. With over 50 years of experience, over 43 full-time staff members, state-of-the-art testing and diagnostic equipment, and an extensive parts inventory on hand, SPTS is uniquely qualified to advance Nikon’s service facilities in the area. The move reflects Nikon’s commitment to continually improve its service facilities and deliver exemplary customer service and satisfaction.
As part of the partnership, Nikon customers will benefit from SPTS’s extensive experience in servicing camera equipment for high profile clients. SPTS will offer on-site support for Nikon products in addition to free repair estimates and guarantees for repairs. Nikon NPS personnel will continue to provide support within the Washington, D.C.-area and as a result of Nikon’s partnership with SPTS, NPS members in the area will receive a 20% discount on all non-warranty service and repair orders. SPTS will also offer NPS members a 72-hour repair turnaround time as well as free pick-up and delivery services through select Nikon Authorized Dealers located in the D.C.-area.
The partnership is being implemented in a phased manner and Nikon expects a shift of all service and repair center responsibilities to SPTS to be completed by May 31, 2006, after which Nikon will close its Washington, D.C.-area office and service facility.
