02 Apr 08 Alright, I agree

I finally see the need for a Search without the blocking the view. Try the new page up there (Price-less).

Let me know how it goes.

Its beter than GMBMG for the following reasons:

  • It has all the American engines included too.
  • You stay on the same page when searching.
  • The search box doesn’t get all messy.

So go ahead, try it!

07 Jan 08 A Cumulative List Of Price Comparison Engines

Here goes a list of price that I included in this customized search engine. Use this list to do your own comparison shopping, build your own competing engine, or just for future referencing.

shopping.msn.com
become.com
sortprice.com
monstermarketplace.com
shopper.cnet.com
smarter.com
bestwebbuys.com
mysimon.com
pricescan.com
price.com
pricewatch.com
hsn.com
pronto.com
overstock.com
amazon.com
shopping.com
dealtime.com
pricegrabber.com
nextag.com
shopzilla.com
shopwiki.com
pricerunner.com
resellerratings.com
buy.com
ebay.com
shop.com
shopping.aol.com
shopping.yahoo.com

A few notes about this list:

  • I know that Amazon Buy.com and eBay are not price comparison sites. However, they do allow many merchants to list products on their sites, which makes them an address in my comparison shopping book.
  • This is an American list only. I might build a wider list in the future.
  • I did not include bizrate or epinions since they have other site (listed above) that have the same listings, (ie. bizrate - shopzilla)
  • MSN, Yahoo and AOL are shopping portals.

Please post in the comments anything that I missed and I’ll add them ASAP.

06 Jan 08 All Comparison Engines Brought Together

For all you comparison shoppers out there, I just created a customized search engine that searches exclusively in . When I shop, I usually visit a few for better comparisons. Two time consuming task I usually have is going to each comparison site and finding each product on each comparison engine.

With this engine, all you do is enter a product name in the search box and open some of the results in separate tabs. You immediately have all needed results without extra typing at every site.

This was inspired by this post at Lifehacker. I don’t understand why they call it “annoying affiliate links” when these site offer a great service.

Heres the link to the Custom Search page.

And here’s the search box for you lazy readers.

As this is the first project for this blog that I’m working on, other than the blog itself (which is quite time consuming), I’d appreciate your baring with me as I get worked out for prime time.

Tell me what I’ve missed in the comments and I’ll add it.
